Of Elephants and Buddha – A Tour of Sri Lanka

Experience an unforgettable tour of Sri Lanka, the jewel of the Indian Ocean. Amidst fascinating culture, green tea-covered hills and endless beaches, a world of colours, scents and warm encounters awaits you.

Your journey begins in Colombo, where colonial charm meets tropical city life. In Pinnawala, you’ll encounter majestic elephants at the famous orphanage before delving into the history of the ancient kings in Polonnaruwa – with its impressive temples and Buddha statues.

In Kandy, the country’s spiritual centre, you’ll visit the Sacred Tooth Temple and experience the magic of traditional dances. The spectacular train journey into the highlands takes you to Ella, surrounded by waterfalls, cloud forests and tea plantations – a paradise for nature lovers.

On the south coast, you’ll get a feel for Sri Lanka’s laid-back way of life: in Mirissa, golden beaches, turquoise seas and perhaps even dolphins and blue whales await you. Colombo provides the perfect finale, with its impressive temples set amidst a vibrant capital city.

Sri Lanka – it’s adventure, spirituality and serenity all rolled into one. A journey that slows you down, inspires you and leaves you with unforgettable memories.

If you wish, you can continue your holiday as a guest or as a kitesurfer in Kalpitiya and spend 10 days soaking up the secluded beaches and surfer vibes.

The entire tour is led by a local guide using international sign language.
